How the directory works
What gets listed
Builders, service providers and suppliers with evidence that they work on tiny or small-home projects in Canada. We don't bulk-add general trades. Listings are organized into three directories — builders and manufacturers, services, and products and suppliers — and each business can appear in several categories.
Where information comes from
Each profile shows its sources and when it was last updated. Some details come from editorial research; others are supplied by the business. Certifications and licences are shown exactly as reported, with a date only when someone actually checked them.
Claimed profiles
A business can claim its profile for free. Claiming shows that someone at the business controls the profile — it isn't an endorsement, a quality check or regulatory approval. Edits from businesses are reviewed before they appear.
Ranking and sponsored placements
Results are ordered by how well they match your search, then by how complete the profile is. Businesses may in future pay for a sponsored placement; those are always labelled “Sponsored”, shown separately from the relevance order, and never buy a badge or a better rank.
Inquiries
When you send an inquiry, it goes only to the business you chose — never broadcast to others. If email delivery isn't available for a business, we tell you plainly instead of claiming it was sent.
Accounts, saved providers and notes
You don't need an account to search or send an inquiry. A free account lets you save providers into projects, keep private notes, and track the inquiries you send while signed in — your own status and notes are never shown to the business or on any public page. An account stores your name, email, account type and, if you add them, your company and phone. Inquiries sent while signed out are never added to an account later. Deleting an account removes its projects, saves and notes; inquiries already sent stay with the business that received them.
Checking locally
Whether a particular home can be placed or lived in on a particular property is decided by your municipality and other local authorities. A listing here never means a home is approved anywhere — confirm requirements before you buy.
